Introducing the PuzzleArtTM Therapy System – The First therapy to combine Binocular, Perceptual, Oculomotor and PuzzleArt Sensory Protocols using hands-on abstract art. A full day overview and training course of the visual, thinking and oculomotor skills needed for  success, and the hands-on therapy system which can help improve them.
Participants will:
  • Learn the developmental progression of visual skills
  • Understand the definitions of visual perception, visual motor, oculomotor and binocular skills and the PuzzleArt products that will help develop and improve them
  • Practice conducting a quick visual screening to be used in conjunction with clinical assessment and standardized tests
  • Explore the relationship of visual skills to reading, writing and daily life skills
  • Discover a new form of integrative therapy
  • Acquire skills to use nine PuzzleArt Therapy products
Our six hours of training will give you the tools, techniques and materials to begin screening, assessing, and treating both children and adults with a variety of abilities. You can use the PuzzleArtTherapy System concepts and products immediately in your practice.

Tilles Center

A FIRST FOR LONG ISLAND!! Brain Fitness interactive art installation at Tilles Center offers creative activities which help develop increased cognitive function.

“PuzzleArt Pathways to Brain Fitness”, is an enlarged, multi-media, free flowing interpretation of Berman’s hands-on therapeutic art and her PuzzleArt Therapy System, which is used by health professionals in 16 countries to help develop increased cognitive function. Different populations can work on 20 different skills to help improve: memory, focus, letter and word recognition, concentration for sports, creativity, perceptual learning, oculomotor skills and more for success in school, business, and life. Berman’s interactive installation will be at Tilles Center through August 2013.

Join us Sunday, December 2nd at 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Tilles Center for the Performing Arts in the Atrium for a short multi-generational program and the inauguration of this New Public Art Form.

There will be a “meet the artist” talk where Berman shares her brain fitness secrets to leading a more creative life and there will be a short guided art “happening” as well as informal brain fitness activities for all ages and abilities. Bring the grandparents, bring the kids!
Refreshments will be served.
